Norman Reedus described his co-star as his ‘best TV friend ever’
Seven, the Belgian shepherd who played Dog on “The Walking Dead,” died Thursday (6/13). The announcement was made by the American pay channel AMC on social media. The network, which is responsible for producing “The Walking Dead,” posted a tribute to the dog on Instagram: “Rest in peace, Sete. The best guy on #TWD.”
The Seven co-stars paid tribute on social media. But the main one was Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, Dog’s owner. He shared behind-the-scenes photos with the dog and wrote, accompanied by a broken heart emoji: “I’ll miss you, Seven. Best TV friend ever.”
Other awards
The official “The Walking Dead” account on X (formerly Twitter) posted a photo of Melissa McBride, aka Carol, with Seven, with the caption: “All dogs go to heaven. Rest in peace, Seven.” Jeffrey Dean Morgan, known as Negan, responded to the post with three heart emojis. Angela Kang, showrunner of the last three seasons of the series, also paid tribute to Seven: “RIP Seven”, she wrote on Instagram along with a crying face emoji.
Participation in the series
Seven appeared in 26 episodes of “The Walking Dead,” including the series finale. Dog, his character, is described as “brave and loyal to his allies” on “The Walking Dead” fandom site: “He never runs away from danger and always listens to his owner, Daryl Dixon. To his enemies, Dog can be quite cruel, will bite them if it means protecting their allies.”
