Federal deputies Rosana Valle (PL) and Paulo Alexandre Barbosa (PSDB) continue to lead the scenarios of the electoral race for the municipal elections of Santos, a municipality on the coast of São Paulo, according to research published by the Paraná Pesquisas institute this Thursday 13th.
The study showed that, if the elections were held today, Rosana Valle would be numerically ahead in the two scenarios tested. In the first, which includes the current municipal administrator, the deputy is in the lead with 39.9% of voting intentions, followed by mayor Rogério Santos (Republicans), with 25.8%, Telma Souza (PT), with 17%, and Débora Camilo (PSOL), with 3.8%.
Without competition from Rogério, he is in technical parity with Paulo Alexandre Barbosa. While she got 36%, he got 35.5%. The survey’s margin of error is plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. Telma Souza and Débora Camilo remain in last place, with 13.9% and 3.6% respectively.
Compared to previous months, Rosana Vale had a fluctuating trend. In the last 3 editions of the poll, in the scenario with Rogério, he had 35.7% of approval in December 2023, 36.1% in March, 38.1% in April this year and 39.9% now .
In the scenario without the current mayor and with Barbosa in the running, the congressman’s numbers were, on the same dates cited in this latest poll, 27.8%, 31.5%, 33% and 36%.
Rogério Santos has swung lower since the last study. In December the rate of voting intention for the current mayor’s re-election was 24.4%, in March 27% and in April 27.1%, compared to the current 25.8%. The same happens with Barbosa, who obtained 40.2%, 37.8%, 39.8% and 35.5% of voting intentions over the entire period.
Paraná Pesquisa interviewed 800 people between June 7 and 12. The research has a confidence level of 95% and is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number SP-07772/2024.
