Do you know what’s different in the third season of ‘Bridgerton’ compared to the books? We tell you everything!
A ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 is an adaptation of the fourth book of the saga by Julia Quinn, entitled “The Secrets of Colin Bridgerton” (il Netflix has changed the order and so the fourth book moved on to the third season). Like any adaptation, some things that happen in the original story end up being left out, while new situations are implemented. Do you want to know what they are? At the beginning of the third season, Penelope approaches Lord Debling, who wants to marry the young Featherington. This interaction ends up arousing some jealousy in Colin. However, Lord Debling does not exist in the books that gave rise to the series and was a character invented by Netflix.
2) Another Featherington
At the same time that Netflix created Lord Debling, it removed Felicity Featherington. In the books, Felicity is Featherington’s fourth sister, along with Penelope, Prudence, and Phillipa. She is still very good friends with Hyacinth Bridgerton. However, at least so far, Felicity does not exist in the series.
In season three, Colin returns from his trip and decides to help Penelope find a suitor to marry. However, this doesn’t happen in the books. In fact, Penelope isn’t even that interested in marriage in the original work.
