The Electric State | Millie Bobby Brown is the protagonist of the most expensive film in cinema

Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt are the protagonists of The Electric State, a science fiction film by the Russo brothers considered one of the most expensive films in cinema and on Netflix.

A Netflix One of the most expensive films in the history of world cinema will premiere in 2024. The Electric State It stars Millie Bobby Brown (Strange things) and Chris Pratt (Guardians of the GalaxyTHE) and had a budget of $320 million (about 1.75 billion reais).

In terms of comparison, the amount is much higher than what was spent Star Wars The Force Awakens (2015), considered one of the most expensive films today and took $533 million (about 2.9 billion reais).

The new film is a work written by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, known for their great productions such as Avengers: Infinity War AND Avengers: Endgame. Both had budgets in excess of $300 million. The justification for the exorbitant expense of the new film, however, has not yet been revealed, but it is expected that it will have technological and very realistic special effects, because its plot is futuristic science fiction.

What is The Electric State about?

The plot of the new film by the Russo brothers is inspired by the comic of the same name by writer Simon Stålenhag, and tells the story of a teenager (played by Brown) who searches for her lost brother in the world. To do this, the girl enlists the help of a mysterious robot and an American drifter.

The story’s screenplay is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the Russos’ recurring partners. The cast includes Ke Huy Quan (Everything everywhere at the same time), Gabrielle Maiden (Stranger things) and Angela Davis (I believe: born to fight).
