How to stream only to close friends

To use the new Close Friends Only Live feature on Instagram, follow these steps:

1. Log in to Instagram and tap the “+” button in the bottom menu;
2. Choose the “Live” option;
3. Tap the audience button in the side menu;
4. Select the “Close Friends” option;
5. Add or edit your close friends list;
6. Confirm your selection in “Define audience”;
7. Start streaming.

It’s worth noting that once you’ve started live, you can’t edit your close friends list and add more contacts.

Instagram has developed more private ways to use the platform and has assigned more applications to the “close friends” feature. Last year, audiences had the chance to make posts in your feed visible only to your close contacts list instead of showing the content to all followers.

The social network has also started testing the option create multiple close friends lists, each with different people.
