She missed Titanic: The Elusive star makes a surprise appearance in the hit musical!

Academy Award-nominated film star and now stage star Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Elusive) makes a surprise appearance at the June 12 City Center Encores performance of the Tony-winning musical Titanic! and is currently performing in New York.

In a role usually played by a company member or other guest, the actor offered some levity to the tragic story being told, playing Frank, a passenger who (thankfully) missed the fateful journey on the doomed ship. Watch his performance in the video below.

The star-studded cast of the musical is led by Ashley Blanchett, Adam Chanler-Berat, Chuck Cooper and many more.

Directed by Ann Kaufman, with choreography by Danny Mefford, music and lyrics by Maury Yeston, and a book by Peter Stone, Titanic won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book.

Performances of the play end today on the New York City Center stage.

On the big screen, we’ve just been able to see Jesse Eisenberg In the strange Sasquatch Sunset (titled primitives chez nous), about the lives of the Yeti family, or in real pain, a comedy-drama he wrote and directed and starred in alongside Kieran Culkin. He will also star in Ruben Fleischer’s Elusive 3, slated for release in 2025, in which he will reprise his now-iconic role as J. Daniel Atlas.

In the meantime, the first two parts of the Elusive saga are still available on VOD.
