How to Create a Story with “Shake to Reveal”
The “shake to reveal” feature needs to be created with the “Frames” sticker on Instagram. This option inserts an instant photo frame (like a Polaroid) into your Story for you to add your own special image.
Find out how to create and publish Stories with the “Quadros” sticker:
- Open Instagram and start a new story;
- Tap the sticker icon in the top menu;
- Choose the “Frames” sticker;
- Take a photo or choose an image to frame;
- Add a caption to the frame if you prefer;
- Move the snapshot frame to the desired area of the story;
- Publish your story.
To see the selected image inside the instant photo frame, your followers need to shake their phone or tap the screen to see the content.
Who clicked and saw your stories
As with Stories without the “Frames” sticker, you can control who has viewed your content on Instagram: the list appears when you open a story and tap the “Activity” field.
However, there’s no way to know which followers actually shook their phones to see the service’s “surprise” image. The platform does not specify which of your contacts completed the instant photo prank.
It should also be noted that the image inside the “Quadros” sticker is not completely erased, but equipped with a white overexposure filter which still allows the content to be minimally identified even before “shaking to reveal”.
