The friendly neighbor is always ready to make jokes, but behind the infamous humor there is someone who just wants a little peace.
Spider-Man is known for his humor, often even more than his powers, but Peter Parker He has a very difficult life full of traumatic moments. One of those moments came back exactly when he put aside his good humor to lecture Daredevil, but in the end it proved that he just needed someone to make it clear to him that everything would be okay.

- Did you know that Daredevil was once a big bad?

Despite his timeless and swashbuckling style, Spider-Man has already been through some very difficult times, being recognized by heroes and villains as someone who never gives up. This becomes even more apparent when Spidey gets serious with someone, which isn’t always the case, but when people realize he’s not joking, they pay attention.
This is what happened inside Daredevil #21, released in 2019. Matt Murdock, Daredevil, is completely lost in his fight against crime, almost being defeated by a group of common criminals and accidentally killing one of them in an attempt to stop them. This sent the Man Without Fear into a spiral of self-destruction that forced other heroes to attempt to intervene.
When Murdock senses the presence of Spider-Man, a hero he has known for a long time, his description shows the respect he has for him, but he knows exactly why he is there.

“Someone is here. Incredibly silent. He has a strong heartbeat. I can almost feel his muscles, full of strength and control. It’s pure power and he doesn’t even know it. The best of us. And he’s here, in my home.”
Spidey talks about Daredevil’s total lack of control and that he understands what he’s going through, especially about killing someone, but that he needs to stop. And if he doesn’t, the other heroes will fix it.
Murdock understands and gives him the mask, taking the advice. However, many have wondered exactly when Spider-Man killed someone or if he still blames himself for the death of his girlfriend, Gwen Stacy.
A mistake and someone who understands your mistakes
After nearly getting into a vicious fight in Daredevil #23, due to Murdock returning to the streets to help, the two heroes resolve the issue and Peter Parker tells them exactly what happened. Spider-Man recalls an event shown in a magazine published in 1987, Spider-Man vs. Wolverine #1.
In this story, in a fight involving the mutant, Spidey threw a punch with all his strength, but discovered that it was an illusion, hitting another person and taking his life instantly.

Aranha feels guilty for what he did and for not turning himself in to the authorities. When he realized that Daredevil had done something similar, he found himself inside, not knowing how to react to it all.
Without saying anything, the Man Without Fear hugs his friend. Nobody apologized or tried to justify themselves.

In the end, as much as heroes do incredible things, defeat powerful enemies, and save the world countless times, their best stories are when we see what’s behind the masks. And like a hug it says more than a thousand words.
