On IMDB, The Doll is the 3rd lowest rated episode of Season 5, out of 20 episodes. Perhaps due to the relative absence of Mulder, who still offers some welcome comic relief, and the fact that puppet stories aren’t new. Evidence: The episode itself deals with Chuck’s saga.
