After the significant success of Acharnés, presented as a limited series, Netflix is ​​preparing a sequel. Deciding to strike hard, the platform hoped to surround Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead roles, but the two actors were ultimately ruled out.

Deadline reports that Oscar Isaac (Dune, Moonlight Knight) and Carey Mulligan (The Great Gatsby) are currently in talks to reprise their roles. In doing so, they join Charles Melton (Riverdale, May December) and Kailey Spahn (Civil War, Alien Romulus) in previously announced parallel roles.
