The defender gains space in the team led by Eduardo Coudet and has his contract renewed until the end of the 2025 season
Internacional confirmed this Tuesday (25), the renewal of the contract with defender Igor Gomes until the end of 2025. Previously, the athlete’s contract with Colorado would expire at the end of the current season.

Thus, the agreement between club and player was closed in early June. It was not the first time that the Rio Grande do Sul team renewed the defender. In July 2023 Igor reaches the set objectives and renews until the end of 2024.
Igor is gaining space in the Gaucho team
Igor Gomes is gaining more playing time at Internacional under coach Eduardo Coudet. He appeared in six of the club’s seven games in June, starting two key games in 2024: in a 2-0 win over Real Tomayapo in the Sudamericana and a 1-0 win over Corinthians in the Brasileirão.
Igor, however, competes for the place with the Argentine Mercado, and Robert Renan, for a starting place together with Vitão. Colorado’s next match will be against Atlético MG, Wednesday 26 June, at Heriberto Hulse, at 9.30pm (Brasilia time). In the current season, Igor has played 15 matches, with one goal scored and one assist provided.
