Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline star in Apple TV+’s new thriller series Defamation. The seven-episode series will debut in October
The two-time Oscar-winning actress, Cate Blanchetthe will play a journalist Defamationnew suspense series from Apple TV+ debuting October 11th. In addition to her, the cast includes Kevin Kline, an actor who also won an award Oscarin 1989, in the supporting actor category for his role in the feature film A fish called Wanda.
The plot is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by writer Renee Knight, and tells the story of Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett), a journalist who built her image and reputation by revealing to the world the mistakes and secrets of other well-known -people known.

His ordinary life, however, changes when he receives a book from an unknown author that reveals his deepest, darkest secrets. Shocked, Catherine needs to find out who the writer behind the work is, how does she know all these secrets and what she wants in exchange for his silence.
The plot full of suspense and mystery is by Alfonso Cuarón, a five-time Oscar-winning screenwriter in various categories for the films Roma and Gravity. The series will have seven episodes and is exclusive to streaming from Apple.
