Marcos Antônio, 24-year-old midfielder, is expected to join the Rio club on loan
Flamengo are close to making their first signing in the mid-year transfer window. Moreover, in recent days the Rossoneri management has moved forward in negotiations for the Italian midfielder Marcos Antônio, a Lazio player. The expectation, therefore, is that the deal will be concluded in the next few days.
According to journalist Venê Casagrande, Flamengo’s proposal for the 24-year-old athlete is a loan, with the obligation to buy at the end of the contract, if the player manages to achieve some objectives.

However, with the risk that the numbers would not be reached, Rubro-Negro asked for a purchase option in the offer. The value would be between 4 and 5 million euros (from 20 to 25 million R$).

Revealed by Athletico, Marcos Antônio moved to European football in 2018, to play for Estoril, Portugal. Shortly afterwards he went to Shakhtar Donetsk, in Ukraine, a club where he stood out and attracted the attention of Lazio. Last season he played on loan from PAOK (GRE), but failed to impress.
