Eric Jouti falls in the round of 32 of the Tunis Contender

The main phase of the WTT Contender Tunis, in Tunisia, started on Thursday (27). Thus, Brazil showed up at the table to debut in the competition with its only representative. However, in the men’s singles, Eric Jouti lost in the first challenge and suffered a quick elimination.




In a duel valid for the round of 32, Eric, who occupies the position of number 98 in the world ranking, faced the Indian Sharath Kamal, currently number 39 in the world ranking. With scores of 9/11, 5/11 and 6/11, defeat by 3 sets to 0 in the first duel between the athletes. The match lasted less than 25 minutes.

In the first set, Eric was leading the opening points and opened 7/4. But the Indian gained momentum with five points in a row to open a two-point lead and maintain it until the closing bell.
