Suicide Squad: Isekai | Antihero Squad Anime Comes to Max


Suicide Squad: Isekai, an anime based on the DC Comics anti-hero team of the same name, arrived this Thursday (27) from Max

Isekai Suicide Squadanime produced by Warner Bros.. Japan in collaboration with Wit Studio (Stick on Titan), released its first three episodes this Thursday (27) on the streaming service streaming Max The Japanese series has a screenplay by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara and is based on the DC Comics anti-hero team of the same name.



With a first season of ten episodes, the anime debuted on the streaming platform even before on Japanese TV, where it will arrive only on July 5th on the Tokyo MX and BS11 channels.

The bad guys are sent to the magical world

Set in a supernatural world populated by orcs and dragons, the series follows Gotham City’s criminal underworld crew Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface and King Shark after they are recruited by Amanda Waller, head of the mysterious government organization ARGUS, for a “suicide” mission.

Gathered under threat of assassination, the quintet is sent to a magical location, connected to our world by a portal, where they must then restore peace to the realm before the 72 hours are up.

 

Famous in Japan, the isekai It is a very common genre in manga and anime. On the border between fantasy and science fiction, the works usually follow the stories of characters sent to other universes, where they must learn to survive their adversities.
