Mark Wahlberg fans scream when they spot his new look in the trailer for Mel Gibson’s action flick!

After eight years of whatever killed him, Mel Gibson finally returns to directing with a high-stakes heist! This thriller from Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery and Topher Grace is coming to theaters soon, distributed by Metropolitan. A French release date has not yet been announced.

Meanwhile, the studio has released a stunning first trailer featuring Mark Wahlberg sporting a striking baldness. The latter plays a pilot who is responsible for trying to escort a dangerous criminal. Obviously, things won’t go as planned…

Note that Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg have already collaborated on the comedy Very Bad Dads 2 and the drama Father Stu: A Hero Like No Other. However, if the two artists have hit back, it won’t be on a high-risk flight, as Gibson is staying behind the camera this time around.

Note that the director follows the tradition of feverish thrillers that take place on a plane, such as The Wings of Hell with Nicolas Cage or Air Force One with Harrison Ford. Recently, the French director Jean-Francois Richet gave us a very successful Maide with Gerard Butler.

After a high-stakes heist, Mel Gibson must get to work on Lethal Weapon 5. As a guest on The Stephen Oxley Show, the Oscar-winning Braveheart star confirmed that he was going to take care of a new episode of Saga Cop. “I’m about to make the 5th film in the Lethal Weapon franchise. Richard Donner, who directed the other 4, has sadly passed away and he was a good friend”he confided.

“He kind of commissioned me to make this movie, so I’d be honored to do it. He’s come a long way with the script, so we’ve used that material and refined it. I’m pretty happy.”he added.

In addition to Lethal Weapon 5, which should therefore be his next project, Mel Gibson also wants to make a sequel to The Passion of the Christ with Jim Caviezel: Resurrection.
