4 Billion: The Return of the Best Action Saga of All Time Is Threatened in 2025

After delaying its release for a year due to the Hollywood strike, filming was again delayed due to an accident involving a submarine.

Scheduled to hit theaters on May 21, 2025, the second part of Mission Impossible 7: The Reckoning – Part 1 it’s still filmed. According to The Mirror, production was halted after an accident involving a $25 million submarine.

The submarine was damaged during the filming of a sequence, causing a significant delay and incurring large repair costs. According to a source cited by The Mirror, the production is unhappy because every day of delay costs a lot of money.

This is yet another blow to the film, which has already had to postpone filming and its release due to a writers’ and actors’ strike in 2023. If Paramount is gritting its teeth over this incident, it is because of the film’s price tag, which, according to World of Reel, has risen to $400 million.

It is not yet known whether this matter will affect the May 21, 2025 date. At the time of writing, the manufacturer has not made any statement on the matter.

It should be noted that most of the new work was filmed in the UK at Longcross Studios. Last March, a video of the shooting circulated on social media, showing Tom Cruise running across a bridge as super spy Ethan Hunt.

What has the super spy gotten himself into again? We’ll find out when the movie hits theaters…
