The actor will make a special appearance in “Família É Tudo” after nine months of recovery from an accident that left him in a coma
Actor Kayky Brito has returned to work nine months after suffering a serious accident that almost cost him his life. The actor has been cast in a special appearance on the soap opera “Família É Tudo”, where he will join the group of Lupita, played by Daphne Bozaski. This will be Kayky’s first appearance in a Globo soap opera since “Verão 90” (2019).
Character and plot
In the plot written by Daniel Ortiz, Kayky Brito will play Memo, a Brazilian friend of Lupita who lives in Guatemala. Memo blackmails Lupita and threatens to kill her grandparents if she doesn’t get him money, describing gang violence in Central America.
The recordings will take place in July and he will appear on the soap opera for about two weeks. Daphne Bozaski, who plays Lupita, is said to be thrilled with the actor’s arrival, having followed his television career since she was a child.
Silence after the accident
Kayky Brito remained in a coma after being hit in September 2023. Despite making some videos for his social networks, he has not yet given interviews about the accident, which occurred at night in Rio, when he crossed a busy street without looking, in front of the bar where he was. Entering the soap opera could be an opportunity for him to talk about what happened. The actor avoided commenting on Bruno De Luca, a friend who left the scene of the accident without helping him.
New characters in the soap opera
In addition to Kayky Brito, the telenovela will also star Marcelo Médici, who will play the coup father of Guto (Daniel Rangel) and Chicão (Gabriel Godoy). Other recurring characters, such as Elisa (Thaila Ayala) and Gina (Livia Rossy), will return in subsequent chapters.
