the blow occurred in the second round of the fight
The fight between Englishman Brendan Loughnane and American Justin Gonzales ended painfully. At 3:34 of the second round, Loughanne landed a knee so precise that it opened a crater on Gonzales’ forehead. The impact was so strong that the referee decided to stop the fight of the PFL featherweights.
If it were up to Justin Gonzales, the fight would continue. But after analyzing the injury, the American fighter’s doctor instructed judge Jason Herzog to end the fight, so that it would not generate worse and permanent consequences for the athlete. The narrator of the event, Luiz Prota, described the wound as a “crater”.

With the win, Brendan Loughnane now occupies the first position in the featherweight division, with 11 points added. In second place is Gabriel Braga, with 10 points. The Brazilian fighter could have scored even 11 points, if he had not lost a point for not making weight during the weigh-in. However, it would not make a big difference, as the American won his fight faster.
