Minions 2: Cinemas ban suit entry after trend on TikTok

Young people went to the cinema dressed in suits to watch Minions 2: The Rise of Gru and created a ruckus

trend on TikTok caused problems for theaters during screenings of Minions 2: The Origin ofGru. Young people posted videos wearing formal attire such as a suit and tuxedo to watch the animation. However, some large groups caused turmoil in the rooms, generating an unusual measure.

A cinema in Wadebridge, a city in England, banned the entry of “unaccompanied children wearing suits” to watch the film. THE Regal – a large network of North American cinemas – will also not accept young people in social attire, as stated on social media.

The film’s producer, Universal, on the other hand, encouraged fans to follow the fashion of the social network. “To everyone who attended minionswearing a suit: see you and love you,” they tweeted.

The trend started in Sydney, Australia, with a group of 15 teenagers dressed in costumes for the feature film. After the movie ended, they applauded and left the room. However, other young people in new videos threw popcorn, bananas and screamed during the screening – which led to bans.
