MINI Countryman SE ALL4 | The new generation arrives in Brazil in two versions

The MINI Countryman SE ALL4 has changed. The SUV from the BMW brand arrives in Brazil in two versions. It has become larger, more technological and with a 100% electric engine

MINI confirmed this Tuesday (2), in an event held in Campos de Jordão, the prices and versions of the new generation of the MINI Countryman SE ALL4. The SUV arrives in Brazil with a new engine, design changes and more technology and in two versions: Exclusive and Top.

The new generation of the MINI Countryman SE ALL4 is also different in terms of dimensions. The SUV is 13.6 centimetres longer than its predecessor and is now 4.43 metres long. It is also 2 centimetres wider (1.84 m), 7 centimetres higher (1.64 m) and has a 2 centimetre longer wheelbase (2.69 m).

Luggage space has also become significantly larger. The new MINI Countryman SE ALL4 now offers 460 litres of luggage capacity, and the space can accommodate up to 1,450 litres with the seats folded down. “The gauge has changed, the wheelbase has changed, everything has changed in this new generation,” summed up Emílio Paganoni, Senior Training Manager at BMW Brazil.

In terms of design, the changes have not been so radical, but you can notice the main nuances compared to the previous generation. The new generation of MINI SUV has full LED headlights, alloy wheels that can be 18 or 20 inches (depending on the version), rear lights with vertical LED lights and more muscular bumpers.

What does the new MINI Countryman SE ALL4 look like on the inside?

The interior of the cabin has also been reworked by the brand and the new Countryman SE ALL4 is even more modern and technological. The finish of the panels and door trims is made from recycled material and provides the perfect balance with the round, non-discrete, 240 mm instrument panel, which is centred on the dashboard.

The screen technology is high-resolution OLED, which makes it easy to read and identify virtually all of the car’s features, not just driving or autonomy, but also infotainment.

The system used is the MINI Operating System 9, which accepts most operations via voice commands. The sound is premium, from the Harman-Kardon brand, also present in the main models of BMW, MINI’s parent company.

Among the most important driver assistance systems are the well-known Parking Assistant Plus and Driving Assistant Plus. Both help the driver with everyday traffic activities, such as parking in more complicated spaces.

The MINI Countryman SE ALL4 is now 100% electric

The main novelty regarding the new generation of the MINI Countryman SE ALL4, however, concerns the engine. Now the SUV of the brand belonging to the BMW Group is 100% electric. It has two motors that, together, deliver the driver 306 hp of power and 50.3 kgf/m of torque. Emílio Paganoni explained that the power can reach 313 hp when the “boost” button is activated. The function makes this “extra kick” available for up to 10 seconds.

The battery system, in turn, is 66.45 kWh which, according to the brand, guarantees up to 320 kilometers of range per charge, according to Inmetro standards.
