In one of the most shocking moments of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) brutally kills the members of the supergroup Illuminatibetween them Mr. fantasticmember of Fantastic Four played by John Krasinski in the feature – which was Kevin Feige’s idea.
During an interview with Befores & Afters, Julian Foddyvisual effects supervisor at Industrial Light & Magicrevealed how the idea of crushing the Mr. fantastic really came from Feige.
“The starting point [para a morte do Senhor Fantástico] it was some reference that was passed on to us by the [supervisor de efeitos visuais] Janek Sirrs directly from Kevin Feige,” said foddy. “It was someone passing a piece of modeling clay or play dough through a garlic press.”
“Janek also had some reference barber shoptoy made by Play-Doh, which was a little figurine with holes in the head and you turned a knob and the clay came out. That was the kind of look we were looking for for the film,” concluded the visual effects supervisor.
