Corinthians Vice Principal Hires Detective to Investigate Contract

Armando Mendonça, second vice president of Corinthians, told the Civil Police that he had hired detective Felipe de Lacerda. After all, the director wanted to investigate Neoway Soluções Integradas, an “orange” company that received part of the value of a contract involving Timão and sponsor Vaidebet.

The information was initially published by “GE”. The site also reports that the director of Corinthians hired the investigator in April of this year, after receiving a complaint about a possible irregularity between the company and Timão. Neoway, in fact, received approximately R$ 1.5 million when the agreement between the parties involved was signed.

After appearing at the police station, the investigator, CEO of the company Vênus, commented:

“I will never be who I am again, how will I appear to my client if you are ruining my career, look at this crazy guy!”, he commented, in contact with the press present.

The detective’s lawyer stressed:

“I will be brief, because the information is confidential. Just to clarify, my client was called as a witness. Despite having professional secrecy to protect; with the authorization of the contractor, he brought some information to collaborate in the investigation,” commented Leonardo Peret.

Crisis at Corinthians

The episode involving a detective and Corinthians’ contract with the club is another in the internal crisis that sees Timão fighting against relegation in the Brasileirão. So far, in fact, the São Paulo team has only nine points in 13 games, with only one victory.

In fact, Corinthians still has the second worst attack in the Brasileirão, with 9 goals, ahead of only Grêmio (8). Tricolor Gaúcho, however, has two games in hand.
