Almost a year ago today, M6 broadcast the TV movie The Incredible Bottling, an ambitious 90-minute feature written and directed by David Charhon, which followed an army of holidaymakers stranded on a small departmental road in the middle of nowhere.
Fiction carried by a gallery of actors, notably Miu Miu, Thierry Lhermitte, Gilbert Melk and Bruno Solo. After the success of the first film, M6 decided to do it this Wednesday at 9.10pm with The Incredible Bottling 2: Long Live the Bride and Groom, which promises to be incredible once again.
A wedding like no other
It is the summer of 2024, and Alex and his young bride, Vanessa, are going separately to their wedding. Under no circumstances should they cross the road before the ceremony. All details are carefully prepared.
From celebrity wedding planners to exceptional catering, including a spectacular orchestra: the day promises to be wonderful. But something unexpected turns everything upside down: the bride and groom find themselves stuck, each on their own, in an endless traffic jam.
Some of their guests and service providers are also blocked. The countdown is on for Alex and Vanessa, who are determined not to miss the “best day” of their lives.
An ensemble film
As with the first film, The Incredible Traffic Jam 2 features a five-star ensemble cast. Julien Pestel and Claire Chaste play the role of two brides and grooms. The groom’s mother is played by Marie-Anne Chazelle.
Bruno Sánchez (HPI), Issa Dumbia, Frederic Chau and Filipina Deller star as the couple’s best friends. Pascal Legitimus, Fred Testot, Gérard Junot, Chantal Ladessault, Max Buble and many others round out the cast.
tiring shot
Filming this new film was not easy for the actors. Producer Romuald Boulanger confided in a press release that they faced a big challenge: filming the heat in mid-April.
“Shooting in April to simulate summer heat remains our annual challenge“, he explained. “The scantily clad actors and extras braved the cold, which this year even included… hail! But the magic of cinema means that even as the saying goes, ‘rainy wedding, happy marriage’, our wedding in the middle of a traffic jam will bring you a super dose of sunshine and warmth, not to mention happiness!“.
Watch The Incredible Traffic Jam 2: Live the Bride and Groom this Wednesday 3 July from 9.10pm on M6.
