What if…? changes the known histories of the Marvel Universe
What if…? is the Marvel animated series, released directly on Disney+, Disney’s streaming service. The production reimagines the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in theaters across the multiverse.
Peggy Carter, Captain America’s partner in the films, becomes the avenger Captain Carter in the series. T’Challa, the Black Panther from the films, changes his fate and becomes Star-Lord instead of Petter Quill, from Guardian of the Galaxy. Included, What if…? marked the final appearance of actor Chadwick Boseman in the Marvel Universe, voicing the character.
All stories are accompanied by the narration of Uatu, the Watcher, an omnipresent being in the multiverse.
From the proposal it follows that What if…? It could last forever without interfering with the events of the movies and other Marvel series, but that’s not what happened.
The Marvel series will end with the third season
In the podcast, Winderbaum confirmed that the third season will be the last What if…?.
He assured that the conclusion will not be less than expected:
It takes us to places you never expect. It goes beyond the first two seasons in its exploration of the multiverse. It introduces some very unexpected characters and has what I think is an extremely moving and very rewarding culmination for Uatu the Watcher.
