7th Company on TF1: Did you notice this bug in the third movie?

Find out what went wrong in the saga of Cook Sergeant Chaudhary and Privates Pitivier and Tassin. Indeed, one of these three characters changed their name in “7th Moon Company”!

Has 7th Moon Company committed the irreparable? Because a mistake, two of the same, fell into the third adventure of Chaudhary, Tassin and Pitivier. This time, the Francois trio are fighting back, while France is occupied! But what is the serious inconsistency that spoils the film for saga lovers?

But Where the 7th Company Gone, the first of three episodes, Staff Sergeant Lieutenant Duuchel introduces himself as “Louis” Chaudar. Except that the staff sergeant’s shop in Au clair de Lune is named “Paul,” as evidenced by these images from the movies:

Excerpts from the first and third opus

If we might initially think that Louis Chaudhar might have inherited the hardware store from his father, Paul Chaudhar, his wife debunks this theory by calling him Paul during the film. And since we’re talking about names, the chef’s wife just changes it, going from the Paulette of the first opus to Suzanne.

These continuous mistakes are due to screenwriters Robert Lamoureux (also the director of the three films) and Jean-Marie Poirier. Because if the plot of the third feature film coincides with the end of the first film, in which our three heroes jumped out of a plane during the Allied landings in 1944, the names of the characters were apparently forgotten along the way!

Handicap for this third adventure, which will be the last in the saga, as Au clair de lune managed “only” 1.79 million admissions when it was released in 1977, 3.94 for the first and 3.74 for the second. It is also the last work of Robert Lamoureux.
