On Friday, July 8, it all starts here…
Early in the morning, Celia is very disappointed. In fact, she was already imagining herself in Paris at this hour with Theo. Unfortunately, things have changed as the double A’s compete for the Vattel prize next week. While Theo still wants to go with his girlfriend, he admits that the chance to win the prize changes his plans. But Celia thought she had more ambitions than winning a prize at the practical restaurant her father had placed her in. Theo does not believe and does not understand why he is not happy for her.
Later, Theo reveals to his father that he is going to do whatever it takes to win the Vattel Prize because he and Double A. Emmanuel suspects that his son could not bear the idea of Louis in his place, which he confirmed. Now they have to prepare a card as soon as possible that will impress the judges coming next week. Emmanuel leaves his son tonight to present him with a menu worthy of the name.
Meanwhile, in the swamps, Hortense and Eliot arrive for Celia’s awesome picnic. However, the young woman is not in the mood for a headache with Theo. He tells them that he still hasn’t told his father that he wants to go to Paris. While Celia begins to doubt her friend’s sincerity, Eliot defends her: the Vattel Prize is a great opportunity for her. And then, Theo isn’t the type to lie. So Eliot and Hortense advise Celia to talk to him as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Deva and Tom congratulate Theo on his double-A nomination for the Vatel Prize. They admit that they are very proud to work with him. Besides, if help is needed, they will be counted on next week. But Theo is confused. He can’t help but feel guilty about Celia. She also confides in Axel that she really wants to go with him. When his cousin asks if he would be happy to accept the Vattel Prize, Theo admits he doesn’t know. So Axel advises him to take time to think.
A little later, Charlene, who learned that her brother was going to Paris thanks to Axel, confides in Louis. The fact that Theo is currently in the process of developing a new menu for Vattel’s prize makes him suspicious, and Louis decides to go to the salt marshes to prove it all. He provokes Celia several times, who finally tells her that Theo is going to follow her to Paris after the Vattel Prize, whether she accepts it or not.
When Theo presents his ideas for the new Double A menu to his father, Louie arrives and takes the young chef by surprise. Indeed, he reveals to Teyssier that his son is about to leave the restaurant, judged by the Vattel Prize jury, to live with Celia in Paris. Emmanuel is shocked. In turn, Theo asks his father not to listen to Louis. But the latter delivers a coup: he has Celia’s information. He then took the opportunity to suggest that Teyssier replace his son in order to receive Vattel’s prize.
Over coffee, Noemi proposes to Mehdi to be runner-up in the pastry championship final. However, the young man refuses. Between the face-to-face relationship between Landiras and Teysier and the stress of her end-of-year exams, she wants to do something else. Moreover, a Pop-Up (ephemeral restaurant) is opening its doors soon and he wants to work there with Hortense during his free time. Despite all the flattery of the former teacher, he prefers to leave the place to someone else.
After Mehdi leaves, Noemi calls Benoit DeLobel and tells him the bad news. So the chef has another person to offer: his son Greg. However, the young woman has some reservations, as Tacy warned her the day before. He bluntly told her that he didn’t want his students to be allied with the other contestants. But DeLabel says he’s ready to step in if the principal tries to stop them. Noemi does not hide that she is afraid of Greg’s strong character, but the chef has an answer for everything and says that she is ready to look after her son if necessary.
Later, Noemi meets Greg and Elliot at the park. The couple is excited to see her again. Finally, the chef decides to listen to Benoit DeLobel and asks Greg to be the runner-up in the pastry championship final. Greg is very surprised by her suggestion, but quickly realizes that it wasn’t his idea. Indeed, Noemi admits to her that her father suggested her name and she thought it was a good idea. Greg is still happy to have this opportunity and takes the job. However, he soon realizes that they will be separated from Elliot for a few weeks, as the training will take place at the Beaumont Hotel. He then offers his girlfriend to spend the summer with him at a hotel, which she happily accepts.
If Greg is happy to participate in the contest, Anais explains to him that Teissier forbids the institute’s students from joining the contest. The young woman thinks they should go talk to him instead of putting him on the job. So Gregg offers to accompany Teyssier on this conversation, which Anais happily accepts.
Guillaume and Letitia have invited Tony to have an aperitif with them this evening. The deputy director warns his partner that he does not want the evening to last more than 9 o’clock, because he has to go to bed early: tomorrow he sees an important supplier for the institute, which he could not get before. Kelly overhears their conversation, she is excited that they have a visitor. But he quickly becomes disillusioned when he realizes it’s Tony.
Annoyed, Kelly doesn’t understand her mother’s decisions. But Laetitia promises her daughter that there is no ambiguity between Tony and her. However, she adds that Tony is cheerful and friendly and that his arrival will do them good. Because if Guillaume is very reassuring, stable and kind, he is not very funny. He even implies that it is boring. Kelly is amazed at his confidence. But his mother reassures him that Guillaume loves him and is not going to let him go anytime soon. However, he sometimes wants to let loose a little and feels entitled to that with friends like Tony.
At the end of the day, Tony has an aperitif with them. The complicity between Leticia and her parent is quickly apparent, and Kelly takes a very dim view of it. Moreover, there is even an impression that they are flirting, but the mother assures the opposite.
