Gramado Film Festival Announces Films Competing in 52nd Edition


In this edition, the actor Matheus Nachtergaele, 56 years old, will be the great prizewinner

The organization of the Gramado Film Festival released this Tuesday (9) a selection of films that will be part of the competitive screenings of the 52nd edition of the event. The exhibition will begin on August 9 and will last until August 17.




In this edition, the actor Matheus Nachtergaele, 56 years old, will be the great award winner. Currently on air in the soap opera “Renascer” and about to be released “O Auto da Compadecida 2”, Nachtergaele will receive the prestigious Oscarito Trophy.

The festival will open with the screening of the film “Motel Destino”, by Karim Aïnouz, presented in Cannes. In addition, the first episode of the series “City of God: A Luta Não Para” will be specially screened. The list also includes new works by famous directors such as Marcos Jorge, Anna Muylaert and Dira Paes.
