Brazil has two airports among the 10 best in the world in 2024, according to the international AirHelp Score 2024 ranking. The first Brazilian to appear on the list is Brasilia International Airportin the Federal District, in 5th place; O Belém International Airportin Pará, it is in 9th place.
The ranking survey analyzed 239 airports worldwide, evaluated by 17,500 users from 64 countries. The data refers to the period from May 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024. Three categories are evaluated: flight punctuality, customer opinion regarding the quality of services offered (airport staff, waiting times, accessibility and cleanliness) and quality of shops and restaurants.
OR Brasilia International Airport It received a score of 8.6 for flight punctuality, 8 for service quality and 7.9 for food and shopping quality, reaching 8.32 as a final score.
Already the Belém International Airport It scored 8.3 for flight punctuality, 8.1 for service quality and 8.3 for food and beverage quality, with a final score of 8.26.
This year two Brazilian airports no longer appeared in the top 10, compared to the same ranking last year. In the 2023 edition, the international airports of Recife and Belo Horizonte ranked 2nd and 8th, respectively. Brasilia Airport came in fourth and Belém seventh.
The two Brazilian airports that lost their position are still among the 20 best airports in the world: Recife/Guararapes International Airport in 14th place, and the Belo Horizonte/Tancredo Neves International Airportin 19th place.
Other airports in the country appear in the ranking: Salgado Filho/Porto Alegre (26th); Santos Dumont/Rio de Janeiro (40th); Afonso Pena/Curitiba (46th); Congonhas/Sao Paulo (57th); Guarulhos (59th); Viracopos/Campinas (62nd); Hercílio Luz/Florianópolis (65th) and Galeão/Rio de Janeiro (67th).
Hamad Airport in Qatar took first place, followed by Cape Town Airport in South Africa in second place. Chubu Centrair Airport in Japan took third place. See the full ranking below.
