The Conjuring 4 will be the last film in the main franchise; the feature film already has a release date

The paranormal cases of Ed and Lorraine Warren already have a date to say goodbye to the big screen. On Tuesday (9), New Line Cinema announced that the fourth chapter of franchising Evocation (still without an official name) will be released in theaters on September 5, 2025 and will mark the end of the horror film series.

He started in 2013 with the film Evocationthe saga that follows the dramatization of real cases experienced by the pair of paranormal investigators has gained two sequels over the years. The first of them, The Evocation 2was released in theaters in 2016, while the second, The Summoning 3: The Order of the Demonworld premiere in 2021.

Highly appreciated by both critics and audiences, the main franchise has since split into countless other productions, all set in the same universe as Evocation.

Furthermore Annabelle (2014), Annabelle 2: The Creation of Evil (2017) and Annabelle 3: Homecoming (2019), the saga also gave rise to the films The nun (2018) and The Nun 2 (2023), and, even now that its original sequence has ended, it does not exclude the possibility of developing into new derivatives, both from these and other franchises.

The latest paranormal case

Directed by Michael Chavez, who has already been responsible for several films in the universe The Evocation (name of the saga in English), The Evocation 4 The details of its synopsis have not yet been revealed.

The film, however, has everything to bring back Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren, as they face a new demonic threat and must deal with many fears and death attempts.

With a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and production by James Wan, responsible for the first feature film, The Evocation 4 has already entered production and promises to hit theaters in IMAX as well.
