The animated film “Inside Out 2” has proven, since its theatrical debut on June 14 in the US and June 20 in Brazil, that Pixar has once again done things right in its productions. The film is already the biggest debut of 2024 and, recently, became the biggest box office of this year.
And, once again, in less than a month on the big screen, “Inside Out 2” has broken yet another record, but this time a “home-made” one: the film has become the biggest production in the history of the Disney animation studio.
“Inside Out 2” Becomes Pixar’s Biggest Production
As the film continues to play in theaters around the world, the trend is for the numbers to continue to grow, eventually making it available for rental and purchase on major streaming platforms, and eventually making it available in the Disney+ catalog.
Synopsis
Continuing on from “Inside Out” (2015), “Inside Out 2” follows pre-teen Riley as she enters puberty as she must deal with new emotions that appear in the control room of her brain.
If the original feature film featured Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Pyyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Liza Lapira) and Fear (Tony Hale), now also feature Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Envy .. (Ayo Edebiri), Boredom (Adèle Exarchopoulos) and Shame (Paul Walter Hauser). The animation was written by Meg LeFauve and produced by Mark Nielsen.
