The noose tightens around William
At the police station, Sarah informs the Auror that none of the funeral homes in the area have accepted Carolyn LeBlanc’s body. The police captain speculates that someone picked him up before being transported to avoid an autopsy. In fact, he received confirmation from Marian that the heart attack could be caused by the medication. So Sarah examines CCTV footage from the hospital morgue, while Damien looks at a graphic study of the body’s transport voucher. As for Roxanne, she found traces of Drouet’s client, also a fraud victim, Johan Elbaz, with whom she had a bitter argument the day before her death.
Meanwhile, William is drinking coffee with Manon at the spoon. A young girl notices that her father is the center of attention. He claims to be worried about a patient who is having complications and says he needs to get back to the bedside quickly. He hugs Manon goodbye. Seeing that she is in pain, he urges her to take the anti-inflammatories she had just been prescribed. Leaving the spoon, William does not go to the hospital, but to his own house, where he cleans the trunk of the car from top to bottom. Aaron gives him a surprise and offers to help. William, who claims to have spilled fruit juice while delivering groceries, refuses to help her.
In Spoon, Bart tries to find a new insurer he can trust. Mona actually finds that Druet has put her in quite a bind. The customer at the counter, who is none other than Johan Elbaz, declares that Druet got what he deserved. Then he leaves without another word.
The police are investigating at the police station. Sarah reports that the morgue’s surveillance cameras were disabled from the hospital around 6 p.m. As for Roxanne, she recognizes Johan Elbaz: like Bart, he’s the victim of an 80,000-euro scam, which gives him a good motive for the murder.
While Sarah and Roxanne go to question him, Aurora informs Martin. Damien interrupts them: after going through Caroline LeBlanc’s phone records, he notices that William’s number comes up a lot. Aurore thinks this is not abnormal since Caroline was her husband’s patient. However, because he had a history of depression, Martin asked a colleague to go and talk to him again.
At the hospital, Aurora questions William, who immediately points out that there is nothing abnormal about him giving out a cell phone number for a patient. In this case, Carolyn LeBlanc experienced repeated anxiety attacks. However, the Auror finds it strange that she found the transport voucher for his body when no one had laid hands on it. Suddenly William turns and stops talking.
Back at the police station, Aurora questions Johan Elbaz. The latter was the victim of a scam by Drouet, who did not cover for him when his house caught fire and he was forced to live in a van with his wife. Therefore, Johann admits that he argued with Drouet about it, but swears that he did not kill him. As for Caroline LeBlanc, whom he suspects was Drouet’s accomplice, he claims he never touched her. However, no one can confirm his alibi: he claims he was alone in his van at the time of the murder. So Aurora puts him in custody.
Afterwards, Damien shows Aurore the results of a graphic study of the transport voucher: it reveals that the author tried to change his writing, but he kept his for certain perfectly identifiable letters like B or F. Once alone, Aurore. Compares these letters to anti-inflammatory drugs written in Manon’s prescription. Thus, he understands that William has changed the transport voucher…
Mariana is ready to move
Sebastien goes to Delcourt to show Mariana the real estate ads her agent spotted for her. In fact, Mariana decided to sell her house and move into an apartment. But she always finds fault with the ads that Sebastian shows her. Witnessing the scene, Diego is amused.
A young man finds Maud on the beach and tells her about the situation. He then suggests that Mariana’s grandfather has a girlfriend, but Diego thinks it’s too early compared to Reno’s death. However, Maude finds it a shame that if they really like each other, neither of them dare to make the first move.
Meanwhile, Sebastian accompanies Mariana to visit the apartment. This one is conquered. So she asks him to help her move. Returning to her daughter’s house, Marian starts preparing her things. He tells Chloe and Alex that he’s moving because he needs to move on. Chloe supports him in his approach.
Timothy falls in love with Rachel
At La Paillote, Victor and Charles admire the good figures of the establishment, which they still talk about on opening night with two members of the Academy of Stars. Charles still offers to hire another waitress, submitting Violet’s application. But Victor, who has already hired Lilu, disagrees.
Victor and Charles then greet Timothy, who has arrived early for dinner. Rachel takes care of him, sits at the table, then serves him a sandwich. When he comes to clean her, she takes it easy to give him advice on cooking, which she takes without offense. As the two young men get to know each other better, Victor interrupts their discussion and scolds Rachel for talking to him instead of serving customers.
At the police station, Nordin surprises Timothy while doing research on Rachel. He flatly denies it, and then leaves her alone. Nordin then accuses Manon of asking her to do research on Rachel. Manon states that it is fake, then leaves in turn. He finds Timothy in the break room and questions him about Rachel. Then the latter admits that he is attracted to her.
At the end of the day, Timothee returns to La Pilot hoping to see Rachel again. But Charles tells him that he is done with the job. Seeing Timothy about to start a game of chess, Charles offers to play with him. But Timothy refuses, because it is not enough incentive for him to play with lovers.
