Following photos of Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the sequel to Danny Boyle’s cult film, the first pictures of Jodie Comer in 28 years have just been revealed. The British actor, who is currently filming The Bikeriders, was seen escaping a pack of infected during filming in Northumberland, England. He is accompanied by a child armed with bows and arrows.

The American site Just Jared published about a hundred photos from the scene. We also see young Swedish actor Edwin Ryding, already seen in the Netflix series Young Royals, playing a soldier. The extras playing the infected wear flesh-colored jumpsuits to make them appear naked and bloody.

We still don’t know exactly what this third installment will be about, written by Alex Garland, who is already working on previous operations. After 28 years There’s a sequel to 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later, but it’s also the first part of a new trilogy that takes place 28 years after the infection mentioned in the 2002 film that catapulted Cillian Murphy to fame.

The Irish actor, who recently won an Oscar for his role as Oppenheimer, is set to make a “surprise appearance” in the next film, according to producer Tom Rothman, and will be more prominent in the second feature, directed by Nia DaCosta.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jodie Comer Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell and Erin Kellyman (The Falcon and The Winter Soldier) will also be surrounded.

After 28 years It will be released in theaters on June 18, 2025.
