‘Oldboy’ in 4K, tribute to David Lynch and the story of Ian Curtis (Joy Division) are among the highlights
A MUBIa global distributor, streaming service and production company, announced this Monday, the 15th, the complete film schedule for the MUBI FESTfrom July 26 to 28, at the Cinemateca Brasileira, in São Paulo.
Created in Brazil, in 2022, the MUBI FEST has expanded globally and will be held in eight more cities around the world – including Latin America, Europe and the United States. This year, the São Paulo edition has more attractions and a more robust and powerful film program.

We want to provide a unique, collective and immersive cinematic experience to lovers of the seventh art, honoring our engaged local community, and bringing a careful selection of cult and contemporary films – celebrating the best of cinema. In this third and long-awaited edition of the event in the country, 16 films will be shown, inside movie theaters and outdoors, in paid sessions.
Highlight for the premiere of Strange Pathon the 26th, with the presence of the film’s director, Guto Parente. Winner of several national and international awards, it was a success in Tribeca Festivalfrom New York, in 2023, taking home four important awards: Best Film, Best Actor for Carlos Francisco, Best Screenplay for Guto Parente, and Best Photography for Linga Acácio.
In the open-air space, they will be displayed Mysteries of the Flesh (Gregg Araki) It is Control (Anton Corbijn)on Friday; Titane (Julia Ducournau) It is Oldboy (Park Chan-wook) in 4K, on Saturday; and, Blue Velvet It is City of Dreamsin a tribute to David Lynchon Sunday.
In addition to the film screenings, there will be free attractions, such as debates after some sessions, interactive activities and musical programming, which will be announced soon.
