“Inside Out 2” Makes History Again: Animation Becomes Most-Watched Film in Brazil

Reverse 2 continues to break one record after another. This week, Pixar’s animation just became the highest-grossing film in Brazilian history.

From June 20 to date, the film has collected R$ 355 million, surpassing the collection of R$ 355 million Avengers: Endgamewhich accumulated R$353 million in 2019.

The sequel to the 2015 film took 9 years to hit the big screen, but it’s back with a bang. Directed by Kelsey Mann and written by Meg LeFauve, the animated film continues the story of young Riley, who has reached the dreaded stage of pre-adolescence.

A little summary of the story

Well, if Pixar themselves showed it in the trailers, then it’s not a spoiler! Reverse 2 shows a real revolution in the mind of little Riley, now a pre-adolescent.

If before the command center of his mind was occupied only by Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, now the place has new occupants. They are: Anxiety, Envy, Shame and Boredom.

In addition to a wonderful and very well-crafted story, the emphasis is also placed on the careful choice of the voice cast. In the United States, the voice of the protagonist Alegria is the comedian Amy Poehler.

In Brazil, Pixar has chosen a top team, which includes Miá Mello in the role of Joy, Katiuscia Canoro in the role of Sadness and Leo Jaime in the role of Anger.

In addition to them, Otaviano Costa continues to be Medo and Dani Calabresa dubs the voice of Nojinho. Of this new wave of characters, keep an eye on the always excellent Tatá Werneck, who brings Ansiedade to life.
