Aurora discovers that Caroline is William’s ex
Before going to work, William makes sure that Caroline LeBlanc, whom he hides at home, is okay. The latter managed to restrain himself thanks to anxiolytic drugs. She also thanks William for risking so much to protect her by faking her death and then hiding her at home. Indeed, Caroline fears that Blank will try to kill her in revenge, since he has already killed his boss, Guillaume Druet. William reassures him: he will help him get out of the country and he will have no more fear.
At the police station, Sara admits to her husband that the situation is not comfortable. Roxanne, on the other hand, feels obliged to the Auror and agrees to take the time to clarify the situation with William. At the same time, Martin informs them that Blank will be released from police custody because the neighbors have confirmed his alibi that he was with his mother at the time of the murder. The police chief therefore assumes that the real killer is behind the anonymous call that denounced Blank.
In turn, Manon calls her father and informs him that Blank has been released. Once home, William warns Caroline, who begins to panic. William suggests that Blank, who seems to have a solid alibi, is not responsible for Drouet’s death. Caroline then fears that William will leave her. But he comforts and reassures her by promising to get her fake papers so she can leave the country.
At the police station, Martin presses his teams on the cybercafé’s surveillance footage, where the anonymous call came from, criticizing Druet. But Aurore still asks for time because she can’t believe that William is the real killer in this case. On the contrary, he knows that he can put himself in danger to save someone else, and assumes that he is being blackmailed by the real killer.
Sarah suggests flipping the phone over to check. But he doesn’t notice any suspicious movements. Roxanne, in turn, realized that Drouet was a compulsive gambler and that Caroline was living in Paris in the fall of 1997. Aurora remembers William interning there that year.
Meanwhile, Caroline prepares dinner for her and William. He replicated a recipe they enjoyed together at their favorite Chinese restaurant in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. Suddenly the doorbell rings. While Caroline hides, William opens the door to Soizic, who has come to check on his colleague. In order to get him to leave, the latter pretends to be suffering from a migraine.
At the police station, Aurora receives documents about Caroline LeBlanc. In particular, he applied for home insurance while he was living in Paris. Aurora warns Sarah because there are two names written there: Caroline’s… and William’s! So Auror realizes that they were together at the time…
Aaron found out about Lisa’s plans in Berlin
Lisa finds Victoire at the hospital, where she immediately makes an appointment. Not suspecting that Marianne will overhear their entire conversation from the next table, Victoire explains to her cousin that Aaron is going to propose to her for their 1 year anniversary and that it will be time to talk to him from Berlin.
A little later, when she meets Aaron in the hallway, Mariana takes the opportunity to congratulate him on his engagement. He adds that he wishes he had known earlier that he was moving to Germany with his fiancee to find a replacement for her. Aaron falls from a height.
Meanwhile, Amelie finds Adam at La Paillote and tells him that he has been accepted to the University of the Arts in Berlin. The young man admires her, already considering a long-distance relationship, where he often went to see her. Amelie is deeply relieved.
At the end of the day, Aaron returns home and confronts Lisa about his plans to follow Amel to Berlin. The young woman tries to explain, but Aaron doesn’t want to hear anything. He accuses her of being the last one to know. Annoyed, he gives away the engagement ring he planned for her on her 1st anniversary.
Ryan pulls out all the stops for Jack
Meanwhile, Ryan tells Bruno that his efforts to get Jack back the other day didn’t work. Therefore, he asks for help in implementing a new method.
Leaving the house with Lizzie, Jack discovers that Ryan has painted a heart with their initials on the sidewalk. Thinking it funny, Jack noticed that Bruno had left a piece of paper on the windshield of a car parked on the street. He takes it and finds it printed with a sentence that Jack said to Ryan one evening at the beach, so he could go out. Jack folds the paper in his hand.
At Spoon, Audrey arrives to serve her children wearing the same T-shirt that Jack wore when he declared his love for Ryan during Mr. Leho’s French class. He brings a card that Ryan himself customized with their photos. Liz says that Jack should give her a chance. But the latter does not necessarily feel that way: on the contrary, all these demonstrations remind him of what Ryan destroyed.
Jack goes into it to talk to Ryan, but Bruno tells him that he’s already gone. The latter holds her back to convince her that Ryan truly loves her and that she really wants to be forgiven. Bruno adds that he recognizes a bit of himself in Jack, as he was also quite proud in the past. However, he encourages her to remember that love is rare and that she should always try to fix things instead of giving up on them.
When he returns, Jack finds Ryan waiting for him outside the house. The latter explains that he wanted to remind them of their complicity and smiled. He apologizes if he took it the wrong way, but he doesn’t know how to prove to her anymore that he loves her and doesn’t want to lose her. Jack kisses her passionately.
