“The story I’m most interested in is Rey’s journey as a female Jedi. That’s how I can best bring my experiences to the film.”said the filmmaker, who is also known for Ms. Marvela series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in 2022.

She also said that the fans’ connection with Star Wars was also an important factor in her decision, but she is being cautious about not letting it get in the way of her work: “Everyone is passionate about it. And across the fan community, people have clear ideas about who should direct or what the stories should be. I’m ignoring those voices until I’m done.
