David Jonsson, who plays the android Andy in the new entry in the iconic Hollywood franchise, spoke to Rolling Stone UK to talk about his career.
Interpreter of Andy in Alien: Romulusa new entry in the iconic space horror franchise Hollywood, David Jonsson revealed how he received a short and sweet piece of advice from Ridley Scottwho directed the first film, entitled Alien, the Eighth Passenger (1979), and Alien: Covenant (2017).
During an interview with Rolling Stone UKthe 31-year-old British artist spoke about Alien and from the beginning of his career to landing prominent roles recently. At one point, he was asked if he had ever contacted Scott for advice on playing the android.
“Yeah, he was like, ‘Don’t be a s***.’ Something along those lines! I’m not just saying that, but the studio, It stinks [Alvarez, diretor de Alien: Romulus] and the whole team had supreme confidence in me, and I kind of needed that,” he said.
I guess I’m one of those actors: you have to leave me out of the lead role to bring me back, otherwise I just don’t work. So they left me out of the lead, which was fun.
