Is a summer comedy almost a legit good movie? Here are the first viewer reviews!

Released in theaters this Wednesday, July 17, has Almost Legal convinced its first audience? It gets an average of 2.8 out of 5 from the community, thanks to 50 people* who have rated it so far (including 19 critics).

Between the Fifi gang and a pastiche of Ocean’s Eleven, Almost Légal is an unexpected French comedy to discover with your friends this summer! The film has the peculiarity of being based on young talented actors who bring a lot of novelty.

Director Max Moore called in a few guests like Marie-Anne Chazelle or Jérôme Niel (and others whose surprises we’ll keep for you), but he was able to surround himself with a group of his friends for the main roles, which was great. Energy for the project.

The film premiered at the Alpe d’Huez Comedy Festival at the beginning of the year and was very well received. But what did the viewers think?

They liked it

Zigzag22 (5/5): “A refreshing comedy full of lightness! I really didn’t know what to expect and I had a good time with that laugh until the end. We laugh a lot and there is more action, great entertainment above the usual comedy offering!! Highly recommend!!

Yoann W (4/5):In the sclerotic, average, bad comedies of French cinema, every original sentence does some good. Not long ago there were Heureux Gagnants or Nous Les Leroy for example that had the merit of standing out from the crowd and trying something different.

Today it is almost the same almost legal. A film that takes its production seriously to offer something funny and different. The story is original, the group of friends is great, there are some really funny jokes in the movie…

They liked it less

Niko F (3/5):Kind and friendly. Well, the actors are mostly amateurs, but overall it works and we have a great time.

Henry Marcellin (3/5):A nice schoolboy comedy with some very funny sequences (especially the crazy car chase) and some well-crafted dialogues. The director must have seen Bris de Nice when he was a teenager.

Almost Legal is currently in theaters.
