Un Si Grand Soleil Preview: Episode Summary for Monday, July 22, 2024 [SPOILERS]

The Laumiers mourn the death of François

Francois Laumier is dead! After touching her father’s hand for the last time, Lorin leaves the room and then cries.

A few steps away, Dr. Cresson delivers the terrible news to Allen and Elizabeth. A shocked businessman says Francois was at home when he collapsed. That is why he called for help. Evan then explains to her that Lorin had been worried about Francois for some time because he was showing symptoms of heart failure. He also specifies that her heart was very fragile and that defibrillation was not enough to restart it. At the same time, Lorin observes the scene with a serious air.

The next day, Evan meets Lorin in the hospital lounge and offers his condolences. An angry young woman criticizes him for not doing his job properly. So the doctor emphasizes that they did everything they could to revive him, but Lauryn believes that he could have prevented his death if he had forced his father to complete the EKG.

Lorin then returns home and tells Catherine of Francois’ death. Excited, the latter collapses in his daughter’s arms.

Boris, warned by his sister, immediately goes to his parents. While he tries to comfort Catherine, Lorin says that before he died, Francois said it was Elisabeth’s fault. In addition, she indicates that he was at her house during his illness.

In turn, Muriel meets Elliot in the guest room, who tells her the good news: she will be released from prison in six weeks! Happy, Muriel promises to make up for lost time.

Meanwhile, Elisabeth tells Alain that she pressured Francois because he would endanger Julien’s life. At the same time, the businessman is greeted by Catherine, who asks to come to his house.

Once there, Elizabeth offers her condolences. As she was the last person to see him alive, Catherine insisted on finding out what had happened. Elizabeth then tells him the whole story. Even though she has discovered the truth about her past, Élisabeth swears that she will not harm Francois’ memory.

Indeed, the businessman wants everything to be resolved between them. He then lays his hand on Catherine. The latter thanks him for coming, and then kisses him. But as soon as Elizabeth leaves, anger can be seen in Catherine’s eyes.

Montpellier police are investigating a new criminal case

A young homeless man enters an abandoned farm. If everything indicates that it is empty, music can be heard in the distance. A man then approaches the recorder that is working and is shocked to find the dead body of a man with a knife stuck in his heart.

Hugo and Ian were immediately dispatched to the scene. According to the papers carefully arranged at his feet, the victim was about forty years old and his name was Martin Erant.

While inspecting the crime scene, Hugo discovers a cut mark on the victim’s wrist. According to him, he was handcuffed for some time because the injuries are deep. Therefore, Martin Errant would be haunted to death.

Back at the police station, Ian analyzes the investigation with Commissioner Becker, Prosecutor Picard and Manus. According to initial information, the victim worked in a debt collection company and his colleagues reported his disappearance 72 hours before. However, Martin Errant had already disappeared a few days earlier. So Prosecutor Pickard charges Commissioner Becker with the case.
