Leão ends his guest fast at Segundona and ends up in G4; Coxa remains five games without a win and sees the crisis widen
With protests before, during and after the match in Couto Pereira, Coritiba lost 1-0 against Mirassol this Friday (19), in the 16th round of the Brazilian Serie B. On a cold night in the capital of Paraná, the Alviverde team had even more opportunities to score, especially in the second phase. But they did not know how to take advantage of it and even saw defender João Victor score with a header in the 33rd minute of the second half.

The result keeps Coxa in 11th place in the standings, with 20 points, three more than Botafogo-SP, which opens the relegation zone. Leão wins its first away win, reaching 25 points, jumping to fifth place. Another team from São Paulo, Novorizontino, closes the G4 with 26 points in total.
Coritiba accumulates yet another setback at home in this edition of Serie B. And, therefore, they have remained five games without a win, unable to leave the middle of the table.
In the protest that began in front of the stadium, the club’s board of directors, the football council and members of the SAF were targeted.

During the teams’ warm-up, Couto Pereira’s sound system played a song by singer Iza. Pregnant with Yuri Lima, a Mirassol player (who was not involved in the birth), she declared that he had cheated on her.
Coritiba returns to the field on Monday (22), at 20:00, when they will visit Santos, in Vila Belmiro, in the opening of the 17th round.
