A new series, Terminator Zero, is expected to hit Netflix on August 29 – the franchise’s final doomsday. – Creator Matheson Tomlin wants to make cursors even more advanced.

He reveals this in the columns of the magazine Empire :”I wanted to focus more on the body horror and slash soul of the first film, similar to Friday the 13th or Nightcrawler.

This project, fully animated and directed by Masashi Kudō, takes place in Japan. It was a great opportunity for the showrunner to also incorporate elements of J-Horror – a term for gruesome imagery in Japanese culture. The director of the series explains: “We focused on the dark side and our decisions about what to show and what to leave invisible.”

The synopsis for this eight-episode series is as follows: “2022 year. For decades, a war has raged between a few surviving humans and an endless army of machines. 1997 The AI ​​known as Skynet became self-aware and started a war against humanity.
