New Marvel Cinematic Universe film stars Ryan Reynolds (Imaginary Friends) and Hugh Jackman (The Greatest Showman)
Deadpool & Wolverine is now showing in Brazilian cinemas, marking the debut of the characters from Ryan Reynolds (Imaginary friends) It is Hugh Jackman (The Greatest Showman), from Fox’s former Marvel Universe, into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The news also serves as a farewell to the franchise, which produced productions such as X-Men: The Movie (2000), Daredevil: The Man Without Fear (2003) and Fantastic Four (2004), as well as several sequels and stories based on iconic characters from the House of Ideas.
And, to honor Fox’s legacy in film, the credits for Deadpool & Wolverine bring a beautiful tribute, full of behind-the-scenes scenes from the films produced by the studio, which became part of Disney’s catalog after the acquisition in 2019.
What is the story of Deadpool & Wolverine?
In Deadpool & Wolverineafter a great disappointment in his life, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) decided to retire Deadpool and chose to continue as a simple — and impatient — car salesman.
However, when the Chatty Mercenary is kidnapped by the Time Variance Authority, the AVT, he discovers that his reality is at risk of being extinguished, along with the love of his life, Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), and his friends.
At the agency, Deadpool also discovers that he needs his arch-enemy, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), to try to reverse the situation. Annoyed, he goes after the hero, but when he thinks he has everything in hand to solve the problem, the duo’s path crosses with that of Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin, The Crown), the professor’s evil twin sister Charles Xavier.
