Missile attack on Golan Heights: Dead, Israel accuses Hezbollah

An attack on Saturday (27) in Majdal Shams, a Druze village located in the Golan Heights, annexed by Israel, resulted in the death of at least 10 people, according to the country’s emergency services.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which conducted a “situation assessment,” blamed Hezbollah for the offensive against a soccer field, which was hit by a rocket reportedly fired from Lebanon. The group denied it.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said he had discussed the incident with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, without giving further details.

“There is no doubt that Hezbollah has crossed all limits. We are facing an all-out war,” the head of the ministry revealed in an interview with Channel 12.

An Israeli military spokesman said all the victims of the attack were children and teenagers. In addition, about six people were hospitalized in serious health conditions.

“The events in the north will lead to a dramatic turn in the fighting in the area,” an Israeli source from Netanyahu’s delegation to the United States said.
