Brazilian beach volleyball closed the first round of the group stage with 100% success. This Sunday afternoon (28), Evandro and Arthur were the last Brazilian pair to debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Against the Austrians Hörl and Horst they won 2-0 (21/18 and 21/19).
Due to their debut, Evandro and Arthur did not start very well. They opened the match with a lead, but the Austrians remained on the scoreboard. The Brazilian pair remained in the lead and counted on Evandro’s blocks and an ace from Arthur, in addition to the opponents’ errors, to win the first set.
The second half was full of changes at the top of the scoreboard. The Austrians managed to make two comebacks and led the game. However, the Brazilians managed to take the lead in the final stretch and take the victory.
