What would have happened if Tony Stark’s plan with Ultron had gone well? This is how the producers of ‘Doctor Strange 2’ explain Wanda’s retirement in that parallel Universe.
Although we are now very busy with the premiere of ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’ (you may have already read our review), there are some who are still unraveling the secrets behind the previous Marvel movie on the platform, and that is that the arrival of ‘ Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’ to Disney + is an unbeatable possibility to unravel all its secrets.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness producer Richie Palmer has cleared up a mystery surrounding the Ultron robots in the film. The recent Marvel movie featured the bots on Earth-838 as they bring Doctor Strange before the Illuminati, and the producer confirms to Empire that these incarnations are working the way Tony Stark originally envisioned them.
This is a world where Ultron seems to work the way Tony Stark intended it to work in Age of Ultron. “An armor around the world” Tony was trying to get the Avengers to retreat in ‘Age of Ultron.
So imagine this is a Wanda who, at that point… This is a world where Tony figured out Ultron, and it worked, and he said, ‘Hey, whoever wants to retire and go home, they can.’ And then the Illuminati came into the spotlight, pulling strings, but I think it’s just a bit of a better world for whatever reason, and Wanda was able to go and have the life that she deserved. We, as the audience, do not know who is the father of those children in this universe.
Following the events of the film, star Elizabeth Olsen has spoken about her future at Marvel, admitting in The Tonight Showwho wants to return to the MCU.
I hope so. They tell me nothing about my destiny. I should go back. But really… I don’t know. I want the fans to be so aggressive and scare Marvel into doing it. I withdraw that. Nobody needs to use force. I would love to do more.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is streaming now on Disney+.
