In the plot, a new American recruit (Dudikoff) serves in his country’s army in the Philippines. However, he demonstrates his ninjutsu skills when a supply convoy is attacked by a group of ninja.
A sequel to “American Warrior,” this action production from Cannon Films brings back director Sam Firstenberg and actors Michael Dudikoff and Steve James.
In the plot, the ninja soldier from the first film (Dudikoff) is sent, along with his military friend (James), to investigate the disappearance of marines in the Caribbean. However, they discover that the marines have been transformed into ninja assassins.
Directed by Lau Kar-Leung and starring Gordon Liu, “Heroes from the East” is another great example of Hong Kong martial arts cinema.
