New Fantastic Four actor reveals he hasn’t seen previous versions

Known for the series The Bear, Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play The Thing in the new Marvel Cinematic Universe

Ebon Moss-Bachrachbest known for the series The Bear (2022- ), revealed that he did not watch the other adaptations of Fantastic Four before or after assuming the role of Ben Grimmthe Thingin The Fantastic Fournew film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“I didn’t watch those movies. When I was hired to do this [O Quarteto Fantástico]I didn’t think it would be productive to watch those movies”he said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “People ask me how different the new version is from the previous ones, and I don’t think it helps much to contrast the film with those others.”

“We’re really making our own movie. There’s no discredit to those movies, but we’re going to tell our own specific story. Like a good play, you can cast a cast of four and then recast the cast with four other performers. Even though it’s the same play, the experience will be completely different.”added Moss-Bachrach.

In addition to the main quartet, The Fantastic Four still brings Natasha Lyonne (Orange Is The New Black), Julia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna), Paul Walter Hauser (Cruella), Ralph Ineson (The Legend of the Green Knight) and John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich) in the cast.

With script by Jeff Kaplan (Love and Adventure in New York) and Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds), review of Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok) and direction of Matt Shakman (WandaVision), the new Fantastic Four promises to be the pillar of Phase 6 of Multiverse Saga and is scheduled to premiere on July 25, 2025 in US theaters.
