Robert Downey Jr. is returning to the Cinematic Universe Marvel (MCU) in style, taking on the role of Doctor Doom in the long-awaited films Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

However, his return does not come cheap for the studio. According to Varietythe actor is demanding a significantly high payment and a number of special conditions to accept the return.

THE Marvel is disbursing approximately US$80 million to Anthony and Joe Russothe brothers who drove Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgameto direct the new films. Each of the directors will receive $40 million, plus a share of the profits that could increase the final amount. The Russos will also produce the films through their production company AGBOmarking a significant change for the Marvelwhich usually maintains its internal production.
