Films in competition
The first title in the competition is Orpheusthe surprising debut feature of Virgilio Villoresi inspired by Comic poetry By Dino Buzzati. Special Event: Francesco Bianconi for CFF
The festival will close on Sunday 9 November with a special event featuring the protagonist Francesco Bianconisinger-songwriter, writer and voice of Baustelleaccompanied on the piano by Alberto Bazzoli. Presented in competition at the Giornate Degli Autori 2025, this latest film tells about escape and the feeling of distance through a visual language suspended between reality and imagination, evoking an interior geography marked by absence and transformation.
City of Carbonia Award to Salvatore Mereu
Another new feature for 2025 is the City of Carbonia Award. Established for the first time as part of this edition, the award is assigned by the festival, together with the municipal administration, to a personality in the cinema whose artistic and personal path has been able to combine awareness, vision and a deep connection with reality, giving the public a vision capable of portraying the complexity of the present with depth and clarity.
